Nissan Gravite Compact MPV Launched in India with Petrol Power
Nissan has launched the new Gravite compact MPV in India, with an introductory starting price of ₹5.65 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 5,000 customers. Bookings are now open across the country. Positioned in the sub-4-metre MPV space, the Gravite is based on the CMF-A+ platform shared with the Renault Triber, but features Nissan-specific styling and design updates.
Prices range from ₹5.65 lakh to ₹8.93 lakh depending on the variant and gearbox option. Nissan is offering a standard 3-year/1,00,000 km warranty, extendable up to 10 years or 2,00,000 km. Early buyers will also receive five years of complimentary service along with finance and upgrade benefits.
Exterior and Launch Edition
While the overall silhouette remains familiar, Nissan has refreshed the styling with a new honeycomb grille, redesigned bumpers, distinctive alloy wheels and unique LED DRL signatures. The Gravite gets prominent model badging on the bonnet and tailgate and is available in multiple colour options including green, black, silver, white and grey.

A limited Launch Edition, capped at 1,001 units, adds visual highlights such as orange accent detailing and tyre-side decals for a sportier look.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Gravite retains the practical 5+2 three-row seating layout but introduces a new interior theme and trim elements. The dashboard is simple and functional, with multiple storage areas and rotary climate controls.

Top variants feature an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Other available features include wireless smartphone connectivity, push-button start, cruise control, automatic LED headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, rear AC vents, automatic climate control and wireless charging.
Safety equipment includes six airbags, parking sensors, a reverse camera and tyre pressure monitoring. The Launch Edition further adds a JBL sound system, dual-channel dashcam, ambient lighting and an in-cabin air purifier.
Engine and Performance
The Gravite is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72 HP and 96 Nm of torque. It is offered with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.
Claimed fuel efficiency stands at 19.3 km/l for the manual and 19.6 km/l for the AMT. Nissan has also confirmed that a dealer-installed dual-cylinder CNG kit will be introduced later for the manual variant.
Market Positioning
With the Gravite, Nissan enters the niche sub-4-metre MPV segment in India, targeting buyers who want an affordable three-row vehicle with flexible seating and compact city-friendly dimensions.
