Skoda has started accepting bookings for a second batch of the Octavia RS in India. This allocation consists of 50 units, with deliveries expected to commence around the upcoming festive season.
The latest batch follows the first allocation of 100 cars, which was sold in India last year. Like the previous batch, the Octavia RS will continue to arrive as a completely built unit (CBU), keeping its price considerably higher than Skoda models assembled locally.
Customers who had previously registered their interest will get priority before bookings are opened to new buyers.
Skoda Octavia RS Second Batch: What We Know
Skoda had earlier indicated that it was considering bringing more Octavia RS units to India after the first batch was sold out. Demand reportedly exceeded the available supply by a significant margin, with around 350 bookings said to have been recorded at one point.
The first batch was introduced at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 49.99 lakh. Skoda has not revealed the pricing for the second batch yet, meaning the final price could be different from that of the previous allocation.
With just 50 cars allocated this time, the second batch is half the size of the initial 100-unit allocation.
Octavia RS Engine And Performance

The Octavia RS will continue to use a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The unit develops 265 HP and 370 Nm and comes paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Drive is sent to the front wheels, while Skoda claims a 0-100 km/hr sprint time of 6.4 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/hr.
The same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine also powers the Volkswagen Golf GTI, which is expected to receive another allocation for the Indian market as well.
Three Colour Options
For the second batch, the Octavia RS will be available in three exterior paint options: Mamba Green, Velvet Red and Magic Black.
Despite its limited availability, the Octavia RS will continue to be positioned as a performance-oriented version of the Octavia rather than a regular mainstream variant.
Continued Demand For The Octavia RS

The latest limited allocation follows a similar trend seen with previous performance-focused versions of the Octavia in India. The Octavia RS 245, which arrived in 2020 with an allocation of 200 units, was sold out in just over a month.
The new RS allocation also comes as Skoda continues to strengthen its sedan lineup in India. The company has recently unveiled the facelifted Slavia and confirmed that the Superb will return to the market, with the new model expected to be offered with a diesel engine when it arrives in 2027.
With the Octavia RS, Slavia and Superb covering different price and performance brackets, Skoda is set to maintain a broader presence in India’s sedan market even as several manufacturers shift their focus away from traditional three-box cars.
