Skoda refreshes Kushaq with added features, tech enhancements and reshuffled variants

Skoda has rolled out a substantial update for the Kushaq in India, focusing on enhanced comfort, smarter technology and a revised variant line-up. While the engine options remain unchanged, the midsize SUV now offers segment-first features and a stronger value proposition across its range.

Key New Features

The updated Kushaq introduces a segment-first rear seat massage function on Prestige and Monte Carlo variants. Another major addition is an eight-speed torque converter automatic for the 1.0 TSI engine. Higher trims now also get a panoramic sunroof, elevating the SUV’s premium appeal.

The Monte Carlo variant is now automatic-only and stands out with unique styling touches such as red brake calipers, new alloy wheel designs and trim-specific disc brake setups.

Standard Equipment & Value Focus
Staying true to Skoda’s value-led strategy, the Kushaq continues to offer a strong list of standard and widely available features. These include an electric sunroof, full-LED lighting, alloy wheels, rear wiper and defogger, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming IRVM. Features like sequential rear indicators and tyre pressure monitoring are now accessible from lower or mid variants.

Interior & Technology Updates

The cabin benefits from refreshed upholstery, new trim inserts and updated ambient lighting. Top variants now feature a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, while Signature and Sportline trims gain an 8-inch digital display for the first time. Infotainment has also been upgraded with a 10.1-inch touchscreen on Signature variants and above, along with support for Skoda’s new companion app powered by Google Automotive AI.

This app enables voice-based control, real-time information and connected car functions, optimised for Indian accents to allow hands-free operation of calls, media and climate settings.

Exterior & Colour Options
Skoda has added three new exterior shades – Shimla Green, Cherry Red and Steel Grey – expanding the colour palette to eight options. Prestige and Monte Carlo trims receive refreshed alloy wheel designs, while higher variants now feature illuminated exterior elements, including a light strip on the grille and backlit Skoda lettering at the rear.

Engines & Mechanical Setup
The Kushaq continues with its familiar turbo-petrol line-up. The 1.5 TSI engine produces 150 HP and 250 Nm and is paired exclusively with a 7-speed DSG, now featuring four-wheel disc brakes. The 1.0 TSI unit delivers 115 HP and 178 Nm and is available with either a 6-speed manual or the newly introduced 8-speed automatic.

Dimensions & Practicality

The SUV retains its existing dimensions, including a 2651 mm wheelbase and 188 mm of ground clearance. Boot capacity stands at 491 litres, expandable to 1405 litres with the rear seats folded. Fuel tank capacity remains 50 litres, with seating for five passengers.
