Skoda Kodiaq Lounge 5-Seater

Skoda introduces Kodiaq Lounge 5-seater at ₹39.99 lakh with simplified features

Skoda has expanded its Kodiaq line-up in India with the launch of a new Lounge variant, priced at ₹39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned below the Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K) trims, the Lounge offers a 5-seat layout and serves as a more affordable entry point into the Kodiaq range, though with a pared-down features list.

Pricing and Positioning

The Lounge undercuts the Sportline by ₹3.77 lakh and is ₹5.97 lakh cheaper than the top-spec L&K Selection. With the revised GST 2.0 in effect, the updated Kodiaq range is now priced between ₹39.99 lakh and ₹45.96 lakh.

Exterior Highlights

The Lounge variant sets itself apart with new 18-inch Mazeno alloy wheels and is available in three colours: Moon White, Magic Black, and Graphite Grey. Premium trims continue to offer additional shades such as Race Blue, Velvet Red, Steel Grey, and Bronx Gold.

Interior and Features

Switching to a 5-seat configuration unlocks more practicality, with boot space increasing from 281 litres to 786 litres. The cabin features grey fabric with faux-suede upholstery and a two-spoke steering wheel. Safety kit remains on par with higher trims, but a few creature comforts are missing:

A smaller 10.4-inch infotainment screen (vs 12.9-inch)

9-speaker 100W audio system (instead of Canton’s 13-speaker setup)

No gesture-controlled tailgate or 360-degree camera

Powertrain

Under the hood, nothing changes. The Kodiaq Lounge continues with the familiar 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 204 hp, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Power is channelled to all four wheels via Skoda’s all-wheel-drive system.
