Get Wowed by the Revamped Isuzu MU-X and the Thrilling Sporty RS Variant
The 2024 Isuzu MU-X has been revealed with a mid-cycle update to give the SUV a fresh look. While the new generation MU-X has not been introduced in the Indian market yet, the international market has already received a facelift of the new generation model.
Isuzu offers an all-black interior with red ambient lighting and contrast stitching on the RS trim of the MU-X lineup, signaling a sporty design. The regular variant features a beige and brown interior treatment.
In terms of design, the SUV presents a more assertive aesthetic with refined design elements, and introduces a new RS variant to convey a heightened sense of aggression. This includes the addition of a substantial blacked-out grille with intricate details, as well as the incorporation of an RS badge on the front profile. On the front, new headlights and rearranged LED DRLs are featured, along with revised bumpers and updated alloy wheels. The rear showcases a set of meaner-looking tail lights.
The interior features a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an updated 9-inch all-digital instrument cluster, now supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The ADAS boasts an impressive array of cutting-edge features, including lane keeping assist, traffic jam assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and rear-cross traffic brake. Not to mention the new surround view monitor on the central display, allowing you to effortlessly oversee the vehicle’s floor while tackling off-road terrain.
The updated SUV retains the same diesel engine options, including a 1.9-litre engine generating 150 PS and a 3.0-litre engine producing 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque. The engines are forcefully tied to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and the elitist RS model flaunts a 4×4 system, leaving no room for a manual transmission option.

The 7-seater SUV is prepared to compete with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Everest, and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in the vibrant market of Thailand. It would be fantastic for Isuzu to introduce the new gen MU-X to India and appeal to the interest of Indian buyers.
