Unveiling the New Generation MINI Cooper S Launch in the Indian Market

MINI India is all set for the launch of the much-awaited 2024 MINI Cooper S! You can now book yours on the company’s official website by paying a token amount of Rs. 1 lakh. The upcoming debut of the new Cooper S is expected in a few weeks. Anticipation is high for its arrival.

The 2024 MINI Cooper S maintains its unique design while incorporating modern updates, such as a new LED pattern in its iconic round headlamps. The car’s rear features new diamond-cut alloy wheels and redesigned tail lamps with sharp LED elements, connected by a black trim displaying the car’s name.

The new Cooper S interior maintains its sleek style, featuring the industry-first circular touchscreen infotainment system, measuring 9.45 inches. The updates include a modern steering wheel with the new MINI emblem and a revamped dashboard that eliminates the traditional instrument cluster. The gear selector, handbrake button, turn-key starter, driving mode selector, and audio-control dial have been relocated to a panel below the screen.

The new MINI Cooper S comes equipped with an enhanced 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine, showcasing an impressive 204 HP and a substantial 300 Nm of torque. This signifies a significant advancement of 26 HP and 20 Nm of torque compared to the previous model, elevating the driving encounter to an entirely new realm of performance and capability. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It goes from 0 to 100 km/hr in 6.6 seconds.

The outgoing Cooper S comes at a compelling price of Rs. 42.70 lakhs (ex-showroom), and the upcoming model is anticipated to boast a touch of extravagance. MINI is set to introduce the new Cooper S initially with a petrol powertrain, with an all-electric Cooper EV expected to grace the market later this year or early next year. Despite lacking direct rivals, the Cooper S will fearlessly take on entry-level luxury cars and SUVs in the vibrant Indian market.
