
Exciting Launch: The 2025 Maruti Dzire, a 5-Star Global NCAP Rated Compact Sedan!
The fourth-gen Maruti Dzire has been launched in India, with prices starting at an impressive Rs. 6.79 lakhs for the base model and Rs. 10.14 lakhs for the top trim. This compact sedan has undergone a significant transformation, boasting enhanced safety features, striking updates, and a modern design. Following the success of its predecessor, the new Dzire is offered in four distinct variants – LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. Additionally, a CNG option is available for the buyers of VXi and ZXi variant.
Exterior & Dimensions
The new Dzire shines with promise, featuring dimensions of 3995mm in length, 1735mm in width, and 1525mm in height, setting a hopeful standard for compact sedans. With a wheelbase of 2450 mm and a ground clearance of 163mm, it offers both stability and versatility on the road. Overall, the new design language showcases a fresh appeal that inspires excitement and optimism, making it a delightful upgrade from the model it will replace!

On the front, it rocks a wider grill that’s got a shiny chrome line linking up the headlights. The side shows off a new design of diamond-cut alloy wheels, but those are just on the higher models. And at the back, the redesigned taillights come with a cool smoky effect that makes it look even sharper.
Interior & Features
In terms of interior, the new Maruti Dzire boasts a dual-tone interior finished in beige and dark brown color shades, complemented by some faux wood elements. Buyers choosing the higher variants get a single-pane sunroof, which is a great first for this segment. Some notable features that set the Dzire apart include a 9-inch infotainment system equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera and a rear center armrest.

Safety
The 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire has become the first Maruti vehicle to receive 5-star safety ratings in Global NCAP. It boasts an impressive 5-star rating for adult occupants and 4-star rating for child occupants. With a range of safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, and three-point seatbelts, the Dzire is setting new standards for safety for Maruti Suzuki.
Powertrain
Underpinning the new Maruti Dzire is the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine derived from the Swift. This engine is available with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. It generates a power output of 82 HP and 112 Nm of torque. The claimed fuel efficiency is 24.79 km/l for the manual variant, 25.71 km/l for the AMT variants.

Market & Subscription
Maruti strategically positions the Dzire as a frontrunner in safety and comfort within the compact sedan segment, directly competing with notable models such as the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and the soon-to-be-updated Honda Amaze. Also, the consumers looking at a subscription model, the Dzire is available for an EMI starting at Rs. 18,248 through Maruti Suzuki’s service, making it easier for people to own a vehicle flexibly.
