Bajaj Auto just dropped their next-gen Chetak scooter, available in mid-spec and top-end versions going for Rs. 1.2 lakhs and Rs. 1.27 lakhs (ex-showroom), and there’s a base model coming soon too. This new ride’s got an upgraded platform and some cool specs to really give a run for the money in the electric scooter game!
Bajaj Chetak: Key Updates
In terms of performance, the Chetak proudly retains its robust 4kW motor, captivating riders with a thrilling top speed of 73 km/hr in the mid and top variants, while the base model still offers an impressive 63 km/hr. These exhilarating specifications echo the legacy of the previous generation, creating a powerful connection for loyal riders who crave that familiar rush.
The new Chetak features upgrades including a revised frame and a lightweight 3.5kWh battery that reduces overall weight and improves weight distribution. Bajaj says their battery can take you up to 153 km on one charge, so you won’t have to stress about running out of power. And get this, it comes with a 950W charger that can fill it up from 0 to 80% in just three hours!
Bajaj Chetak: Features & Comfort
The new model features a 35-litre boot, one of the largest in its category, and has improved space by relocating the battery under the floorboard. It also has a 25 mm longer wheelbase and an 80 mm longer seat for enhanced comfort for both the rider and pillion.
The 3501 variant features advanced technology, including a touchscreen TFT display with maps, Bluetooth connectivity, and screen mirroring, along with document storage, geo-fencing, theft alerts, and overspeed warnings.

Bajaj has launched mid and top-end variants of the Chetak and plans to introduce the base variant, the 3503, to appeal to both premium and budget-conscious buyers, while enhancing its predecessor’s legacy with improved performance and modern features in the electric scooter market.
