BMW is gearing up to roll out the R 1300 GS Adventure in India after showing it off to the world last year. This bike shares the same platform as the R 1300 GS, but it’s got some awesome unique features and styling that really make it stand out. Last year, BMW Motorrad rolled out the R 1300 GS in India for a cool Rs 20.95 lakh, but guess what? The price has now bumped up to Rs 21.2 lakh. We can expect the R 1300 GSA to see a similar price jump compared to the Rs 22.5 lakh R 1250 GSA.
BMW R 1300 GSA: What’s new?
The R 1300 GSA features a larger 30-litre fuel tank, 11 litres more than the standard GS, resulting in a weight of 269kg, which is 32kg heavier than the standard bike and 1kg heavier than the R 1250 GSA it replaces.

The R 1300 GS Adventure, featuring the most powerful production-ready BMW boxer engine with 145hp and 149Nm, retains the same output as the larger GSA while utilizing a liquid-cooled boxer engine and a 6-speed gearbox. The new adventure tourer features an optional Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) that removes the need for manual shifting with a clutch, while still providing a gear lever for manual control when desired.
The 2025 R 1300 GS Adventure is available in four variants and features four standard riding modes: Eco, Rain, Road, and Enduro. The R 1300 GSA features a 6.5-inch TFT display, Dynamic Traction Control, Engine Brake Control, Hill-Hold Assist, and Radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control, which includes mechanisms for front collision warning and lane change warning. Upon its launch in India, it will rival the Triumph Tiger 1200 GT and Rally Explorer, Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally, and Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250.
