The new leaked pics showing the front end of the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5 door. It’s got a fresh grille and LED projector setup. Pretty cool, huh?
A highly anticipated release from Mahindra has been revealed without camouflage. New images of the unrestrained Mahindra 5-door Thar have surfaced online, showcasing the front end of the fully prepared 5-door Thar. The Thar 5-door features a fresh grille design with six double-stacked slots and upgraded headlamps with LED projectors and a stylish C-shaped DRL, enhancing its contemporary appeal.
The presence of a camera on the wing mirror confirms that this SUV will be equipped with a 360-degree camera setup, providing enhanced visibility for the driver. Additionally, it’s interesting to note that the rear door handle is positioned on the door frame, similar to the previous-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift, which could bring a sense of familiarity and convenience to the design.
The much-anticipated Mahindra Thar 5-door is set to stun with a lineup of three engine options: an entry-level 1.5-litre diesel, a robust 2.2-litre diesel, and a powerful 2.0-litre petrol unit. And if that’s not enough, you’ll have the choice between manual and automatic gearbox. But wait, there’s more! In addition to the standard rear-wheel-drive, this SUV will also offer a 4WD setup, just like the current 3-door Thar. Buckle up for a game-changing ride.
In 2020, Mahindra revealed the 3-door Thar on August 15. We are excited about the potential unveiling of the 5-door Thar on the same day this year. The SUV’s production has already commenced, and dealers have started accepting unofficial bookings, indicating that its launch is not far off. Upon release, it is expected to be named the Mahindra Thar Armada and will directly compete with the Force Gurkha 5-door and the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. Additionally, it will be a strong contender in the midsize SUV segment, challenging the likes of the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta, among others.
