Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai will launch the electric Creta on January 17 at the Bharat Mobility Expo, building on the success of the ICE Creta, which starts at Rs 11 lakh. The electric SUV aims to enhance Creta’s market position and is expected to begin production by the end of 2024, targeting 24,000 units annually. Priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 30 lakh, it will compete with the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.

Hyundai Creta EV: Whats new

The recent spy shots of the electric Creta show it will resemble the ICE model with similar headlights and taillights but will have updated bumpers, a closed grille, and 17-inch alloy wheels; inside, it will feature a twin-screen layout with improved software and new features. The SUV will keep physical controls, but the HVAC controls will come from the new Alcazar, while including a drive selector controller, a redesigned center console, and a three-spoke steering wheel.

The Hyundai Creta EV is anticipated to offer advanced safety features, including TPMS, six airbags, ESC, ISOFIX mounts, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS.

Hyundai Creta EV: Powertrain

Hyundai has not officially released full technical details of the electric Creta, but reports indicate it will have a 45kWh battery and a front-mounted motor with approximately 136bhp and 255Nm, potentially supporting fast charging for added practicality.
