Lamborghini Temerario

Lamborghini officially announces the launch of the Temerario on April 30, 2025 in India, which occurs earlier than the previously forecasted mid to late 2025 timeline. The Lamborghini Temerario is set to succeed the legendary Huracan and is equipped with a hybrid V8 powertrain that boasts impressive performance metrics.

Design

The Lamborghini Temerario embodies design elements that affirm its status as a quintessential supercar. It preserves characteristics from the Huracan, including the distinctive shark nose front end and the pronounced lower lip spoiler. The integration of a hexagon into the LED daytime running lights enhances its striking appearance.

The hexagonal shape really stands out in the exhaust, taillights, side mirrors, and fuel cap. It’s not just for looks, though—this design gives a nod to Carbon, the sixth element on the periodic table, which Lamborghini wants to represent. Additionally, the wheels, measuring 20 inches in the front and 21 inches in the rear, seamlessly enhance the overall aggressive aesthetic of the vehicle.

The design of the Temerario features an aluminum space frame that provides a 20% increase in torsional rigidity. This construction stands in contrast to the Huracán’s hybrid space frame, which combines carbon fiber and aluminum. Additionally, an Alleggerita Package tailored for track performance introduces carbon fiber elements to the exterior, resulting in a total weight reduction of 25 kg from the initial weight of 1715 kg.

Interior

The interior of the Temerario draws its inspiration from the Lamborghini Revuelto, embodying a design that evokes a spaceship aesthetic while integrating advanced technology. It’s got a 12.3-inch display for the driver, an 8.4-inch vertical infotainment screen, and a 9.1-inch display for passengers. The seats are all about sporty vibes and you can adjust them in 18 different ways, plus they’ve got heating and ventilation to keep things comfy.

Engine & Performance

The Lamborghini Temerario packs a beastly 4.0-litre V8 engine along with three electric motors, cranking out a whopping 920 HP and 800 Nm of torque. It comes with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that just makes everything smoother. You’ll be hitting 0 to 100 km/h in a crazy fast 2.7 seconds, and it tops out at a mind-blowing 343 km/h!

This engine is all about high-rev excitement, revving up to 10,000 RPM and cranking out a solid 800 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque. It’s got a cool triple motor setup, and that 3.8 kWh battery? It charges up fully in just 30 minutes with a 7 kW AC charger. Additionally, the batteries can be recharged through regenerative braking or directly from the V8 engine itself.

Pricing & Market

Lamborghini is likely to add a premium on the current Huracan, with prices likely falling around Rs. 6-7 Crore. The Temerario is gearing up to compete with heavy hitters like the Ferrari 296 GTB and McLaren 750S.

The Lamborghini Huracan was loved for its awesome V10 engine. It was a bummer for fans when they found out its successor had a smaller engine. But hey, the Temerario brings a way cooler interior and better performance than the old Huracan. These upgrades should definitely make people look at it in a better light!
