
Mercedes AMG G63 get’s a 48V mild-hybrid system for the first time.
Mercedes has launched G63 AMG facelift in Indian market with a starting price of 3.60 crores (ex-showroom). The facelifted AMG G63 now gets a mild-hybrid system and new features on offer. The deliveries will commence from first quarter and first batch of 120 units has already booked.
Key Updates
The new Mercedes AMG G63 comes with miner updates to the exterior including, a redesigned sporty bumper with vertical slats and blacked out front grill. According to the Mercedes, the new SUV now becomes more aerodynamics with inclusion of a slightly rounded A-pillar and a lip on the front windshield.

With an optional carbon-fiber spare wheel cover, the rear profile remains more or less the same as the outgoing model. It get’s key-less entry for the first time and customers can opt for an optional 22 inches allow wheels with centre locking system.
Interior
In terms of interior, the AMG G63 facelift get’s tons of features in addition to the previous model. On the dashboard, there’s a new revamped off-road control centre, temperature control cup holders and an AMG performance steering. It get’s a range of MANUFAKTURE upholstery and MANUFAKTURE paint finishes to choose from.
Some notable features includes, MBUX infotainment system sourced from the GLS facelift and a 12.3 inch infotainment touchscreen infotainment system. It get’s an 18-speaker, 760-watt Burmester sound system and wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.
Powertrain
The facelifted AMG G63 is powered by the same 4.0 litre, twin-turbo V8 engine with a power output of 585 HP and 850 NM torque. This engine is paired with a new 48V mild-hybrid system producing an additional 22 HP. With this power, it goes from 0-100 in just 4.3 seconds. It comes transmitted with a 9-speed DCT automatic gearbox.

The new G63 comes standard with AMG Performance package which includes a launch control feature and a top speed of 240 km/hr. Buyers can also opt for an optional AMG Active Ride Control.
