
MG India revealed their ambitious plan to launch a new car every 3-6 months starting from this year’s festive season, When MG Motor announced their partnership with JSW. Excitingly, the Chinese automaker has now confirmed the approval for 5 new cars for the Indian market.
These upcoming cars are set to hit the market before the end of 2025. Among the 5 models, 3 will cater to the mass market, while the remaining 2 will be premium options. MG Motor is gearing up to unveil the Cloud EV in the next few months, marking the beginning of this exciting lineup.
The MG Cloud positions itself as an electric MPV-styled crossover in the Rs. 10-20 lakh price bracket, nestled between the Comet EV and ZS EV. Notably, the MG Cloud is also part of Wuling’s portfolio in Indonesia, sharing its platform with the Comet.
After launching the electric MPV, MG is gonna bring in the Bingo hatchback to India. It’s gonna ride on the same Global Small Electric Vehicle platform, which it shares with the Comet and Cloud. Oh, and there’s a chance that MG will also introduce a cool D-segment sedan to hang out next to the Gloster. This sedan might even come in PHEV and EV versions.
Coming to the premium products, the brand is set to launch the Cyberster in India as a unique and exciting offering. The vehicle made a captivating impression during its showcase earlier this year. Additionally, the second premium vehicle is expected to be another impressive crossover named R7, currently being sold by SAIC’s Rising Auto. This electric vehicle also offers the convenience of a swappable battery, adding to its appeal.
