Tata Motors has unveiled the production version of its Curvv coupe SUV in India. The new model is set to directly challenge midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara. The Curvv will debut in six variants, offering both manual and automatic transmission choices powered by three distinct engines. Tata will reveal the vehicle’s pricing on the 2nd of September, building anticipation for the grand unveiling.

The Tata Curvv gives you the power to choose from not one, not two, but three engines. The first is a mighty 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, commanding 120 HP and a staggering 170 Nm of torque. For those who crave even more, there’s the option of a robust 1.5-litre diesel engine, delivering a commanding 118 HP. This machine doesn’t just offer choices; it dares you to pick and experience the thrill of power.

The third powertrain option is Tata’s latest 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, packing a punch with 125 HP and 225 Nm of torque. Every engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, and for those seeking a touch of luxury, there’s the option of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It’s worth noting that the Curvv is set to become the exclusive mass-market diesel car in India featuring a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

In terms of interior, the Curvv’s cabin exudes inspiration from the Nexon and Nexon EV, embracing a captivating dual-tone burgundy and black theme. The dashboard and centre console envelop you with familiarity, while the four-spoke steering wheel, borrowed from the Harrier and Safari models, adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the driving experience.

Tata’s Curvv is packed with convenience and safety features, such as a powered tailgate with gesture control, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seats, ventilated front seats, and advanced driver-assistance systems. It also boasts Level 2 ADAS, electronic stability control, disc brakes on all wheels, a 360-degree camera, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold.

The Curvv, built on Tata’s ATLAS platform, is designed to accommodate different body styles and powertrain configurations, offering both petrol and diesel options with manual and automatic transmissions. It will be released in six variants: Smart, Pure+, Creative, Creative+ S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ A.
